Description
The C.P.P.4 window-shutters slot-cutter is designed to provide average or high output and is the only machine of its type capable of cutting slots of standard kinds in roller blind uprights with a single toothead rack. One of the main features which distinguishes the C.P.P.4 from conventional slot-cutters and from which its improved performance is derived is the fact that the uprights themselves remain stationary while the bits are shifted sideways.
The moving parts run on sealed ball bearings. The spindle carriage runs backwards and forwards on ground steel guides.
The cutting interval is adjusted by means of a device acting on a toothead rack having constant pitch of 6,5 mm to set the following cuts at a multiple of this distance, with a maximum interval of 97,5 mm.
Slot depth, length, angle and poistion on the upright being processed are easily adjusted.
All the various processing phases, fron the activation of lamping device to piece feeding and drill-bit advance, are carried out by means of a synchronised automatic pneumatic mechanism.
The speed at which the bits penetrate the wood is maintained costant and is regulated by means of a hydraulic device with micrometer measurement able to operate correctly even in the presence of variations in pressure. The same device also allows the speed to be regulated: this feature, together with the very high drill-bit rotation speed, ensures that the pieces processed are perfectly fnished.
The model C.P.P.4 machine is ftted with a device which allows a preset space (equal to the interval between slots or a multiple of this distance) to be left without slots in the centre of the upright. It is also complete with an automatic device which stops the machine when processing is complete.
